I havent actually bought these but there seems to be a small bit of Christmas trickling through into Dunnes website :)

Edit to add: it's actually a bit more than a trickle if you search "Christmas" :D

The temptation to hit the Christmas supplies is strong tonight, I just fancy something Christmassy to eat :D

I was just looking at the h&m Christmas shop online, and they had these cute apron and chef hat sets that had me dreaming of baked Christmas goodies :)

Between yesterday and today, I got all my mam's Christmas shopping bought for her. She's delighted, as it takes the pressure off. :)

I also got a pair of gloves today in M&S for my uncle, a lovely Fortnum and Mason tea selection in BT for one of my friends, and a load of gorgeous gift boxes in Flying Tiger, which were all only €1 and €2!

They have santa and snowman gift boxes with little white baubles in them, so they are like a box and a snowglobe!

Dunnes have been knocking it out of the park with their Christmas stuff over the past few years. I have my eye on a couple of cushions this year. One of them was on the site yesterday and gone today. I'm with you in wishing they'd hurry up!

Got bike ordered yesterday for oldest, so that is last main present done. Went with Amazon in the end. I do like to shop local where/when possible however was hard to find what we wanted at a reasonable price.

You'd have struggled to get a bike here at the minute, they are like hens teeth!

Agree. Can't wait to see what Dunnes will bring out. I already have my eye on a couple of things but can't wait to see the full collection.

That box is fab Posy, did Tiger have any round boxes by any chance ? big enough to fit a bottle in and some individual chocolates and maybe a candle thanks

They have a lot of boxes, I'm not sure if any were bottle sized though. :/

I wish Dunnes would lower their order total to maybe around 30 euros now to be able to avail of free shipping.

Just order extra to get free delivery and return it, they are taking returns up to mid January now.

    That sounds like effort!

Definitely too much effort right now. In normal times I would do that, but right now that would be difficult.

Tipperary Crystal do some lovely tree decos! We got a few last year as gifts for our new house, and loved every one of them :)

I adore them. I have quite a few now and I'm giving some as gifts. They are very reasonable. You can get 2 or 4 in a set and the boxes are fab.

Click and collect is free. This post reminded me that I could order from dunnes. Went on for a dressing gown for my son, click and collect. Somehow 3 tops for me ended up in the shopping bag too so free delivery now.

I got a set yesterday in the Kilkenny shop, a tree decoration and 2 small candles. Down to €15.

Anyone know when An Post will bring out the Christmas stamps, as I suppose cards might be more popular than usual this year ?

Unfortunately I don't have anywhere within 5km to collect from right now. Otherwise I definitely would. I'll wait til they get a few more bits in and spring for the 50 euro order, ha.

The 5km rule does not apply for shopping trips. Just do a food shop as well.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth House?

Or just say you’re going for a food shop. The guards won’t be following and checking.

Exactly, I mean why allow click and collect facilities like smyths etc if your not allowed to go there, I am to collecting a PS5 on launch day from smyths and its about 20km away from me, Me: Food Shopping Garda, Garda: Sure cant you just get it in your local store: Me: Not the dont sell gluten free food :-)

    Sorted!

I was under the impression the Gardai would tell you to shop in your area if you were travelling a distance for grocery shopping.

Lot's of places are open for click and collect and places are trying to launching similar and people will do it.
I think takw-aways will be busy this weekend.

Also, you can visit graves. My great Uncle is buried in Cork City and people are going to say they are visiting these graves.

People have gotten tired of this. The vast majority have no issue with masks, staying apart but are sick of these closures and just want to get back to some form of normality.

Whilst he's meant to be a lovely man Michaél Martin is useless to motivate people to buy into things,
