I currently pay for xbox live gold for the Kids xbox. Im confused over the pc version. Is the pc version a separate app or account ill need? I am considering buying flight sim 2020 for the pc.

There's no xbox live for pc. It's just the windows store. You can use your xbox live log in to log into the xbox store.

If you pay for gamepass on xbox live you can use gamepass on PC with the same log in on the gamepass app.
