I see the big M has decided to cash in a bit further on the pandemic. Have raised the delivery cost at both Waterford locations to 3.99. Best of luck to them. Fancied an oul double cheeseburger and milkshake but it takes a special kind of dirt to be at this craic now. Won't be getting my business again.

Double cheeseburger and milkshake would cost you what, €6?

Im sure they'll miss your custom.

€4.80. Assuming that's all I ordered. Also assuming it's only me in the house. But we're getting into a lot of assumptions now. And you know what assume does to u and me....

I assume delivery is available from some of the nice restaurants. So this is a good thing if it gets more business for the smaller companies.

Yeah sometimes ya fancy something a bit wrong though. haha

Of the local takeaways doing delivery I never have an ounce of hassle with quality or delivery time from Brennan's, Hot Corner or Dragon Inn.

Hopefully normality resumes at some stage and the dining out experience is a little less weird but I wouldn't be spending maybe €50/€60 on grub delivered from a decent restaurant right now.

It might be weird but it feels like there's a takeaway/chipper "space" and a nice restaurant space, the setting , ambience etc plays a part, delivery would just be strange with some places.

I thought a delivery charge was standard with most places.

It is yeah. Normally in around €2/€2.50. €4 is taking the piss. For city centre too, it's not like there's hardship involved.
