Expired learner permit

    Hi All,

    My wife’s learner permit is expired over 5 years as she never needed to drive. We’ve decided to get her on the road now.

    I know she has to retake the theory test And complete 12 EDT lessons.

    Two questions - is there anyway to fast track the EDT lessons ? While she didn’t have the need to drive she did previously learn how but just never sat the test. She is a very good driver and definitely not what you would call a beginner driver

    Does the 6 month rule regarding the driving test also apply seeing as she has previously held two learner permits ?

    If she had to resit the theory test, everything has reset and is starting completely from the start. The previous learner permits are irrelevant.
