    Thanks. I turned it on now. I had forgotten how great the first season was. I liked the later stuff with the Maguires etc. but the farcical comedic situations of those later seasons werent a patch on the grittiness of the show at the start.

    Yeah show went downhill near the end, they ****ed up the Maguires and brought in some annoying characters

    Strted to watch it in Lockdown...Great show. Up to Series 5. Especially good after spending 2 years living in Manchester!

    It became less gritty and more cringeworthy as it went on. It was trying too hard to be hard,lost all decent characters and ran out of humour and storylines.
