    Hi all,

I’m aware of several different organisations who do organic training but has anyone on here done any of the courses?

Is there any particular good ones or others to avoid?

    Thanks

I did the course through Teagasc in Portlaoise with Dan Clavin. I found it good only downside was it was on a weekday and 4 days for four weeks which left me short on holidays with work.

The NOTS one is a Friday eve and a Saturday over two weekends which would be easier on the annual leave but having spoken to lads that did it they were very happy with it too.

Only thing about NOTS is that it's very livestock based if you were looking for more of a tillage angle I'd do Mary Lynch's course in Tipp town.

Thanks for that. It'd be livestock more than tillage here I'd be interested in. Must see if there's any in the south-east of the country - I forgot how practical things like geography and commuting to the course venue is!
