Damaged skeg on outboard

Hi folks,

Recently bought a used 50hp mercury 2-stroke and the skeg has a piece missing. Anyone know of somebody that might be able to repair in Ireland? I’m aware that the gearbox and gear carrier will have to come out but I have to put a water pump into it anyway and change the gearbox oil.

Thanks guys for those contacts lads, I will check them out.

Although it looks the biz I am unsure about the skeg guard to be honest Fergal. Lots of dissimilar metals there and the engine will be used in salt water. Also what happens if you hit a rock with the skeg guard? Does the gearcase crack? I think I would prefer to weld in new aluminium if possible but the ease of fitting the skeg guard is appealing.

On another point where's a good (a.k.a cheap) source for mercury spares? I need a couple of bits (waterpump/lower leg gasket/ steering link bar / kill cord / spare key / trim anode /ptt anode), I know you have restored a few. Its a 2003 50hp PTO
