Maybe I'm just thick, but it's a complete load of ****. It's impossible to find anything in it. Folders seemingly are called labels, yet when you send anything to it, it ends up in your Inbox.

Does anyone have an address for Google, where I can go on a rampage.

Could you use a desktop client like outlook or something similar?

You would still be using your Gmail account but the layout and organisation is far better.

I find it grand to be honest. However, I'll side with you for the moment as I am curious to see your Google Rampage and how the Gardai will react (if they bother to show up).

I like it. Just remember when using labels, everything is already labelled Inbox so you've to untick that to remove it from the inbox too.

Yes, hate it. We use enterprise gmail at work. Trying to traverse and make sense of a mail trail is fun.

    The address is Google@Google.com

I prefer Outlook, but mostly use Gmail.

I moved a payslip to some folder last week and I can't find it anymore wherever it's gone!

I didn't know people actually used Gmail, thought it was part of setting up a Google account

If you take the time to set it up right, it works great.

I don’t really use Gmail all that often, just have it set up because I use other Google services. It’s handy for keeping all my subscriptions together in their own folders and keeping them out of Outlook which I use all the time for personal and business.

Is Hotmail the same as Outlook? Or is it Live? I've a friend with an @live.se who says that's also a name for Outlook.

It is, by far, the most popular email provider in the world.

Just because gmail is your email host doesn't mean you have to use their client. You can easily hook it up to Outlook or Thunderbird (free) etc.

If only someone made some kind of web search or map service where such information could be found.

Is it the same product with different names? I have an Outlook (as well as Gmail, because there's no escaping Gmail) account, and it looks the same as both Hotmail and Live. Which is confusing!

No. I'm bald so its impossible to pull my hair out. Unless I pull out my public hair, and I refuse to do that for anybody or thing

All the same. Microsoft have had different names for their consumer email service over the years so they need to continue the brand while making them all the same from a user design and functionality perspective

I’ve no issues with gmail I have to say, easy to use, easy to navigate... app in particular works very well too.

I had my original hotmail account that I’d been using since 1997 or ‘98 , hacked and password changed back in 2017.... it happened after my phone was nicked coincidentally... I setup a new gmail and I find it very good.

I find it very good , it's free, it blocks spam. It's secure. It's easy to use. If you want to have a YouTube account you have to setup a Gmail account. You also get free online storage. Google drive.
If millions of people use a service it can't be that bad.
I trust Google alot more than I trust Facebook or
    certain other Companys.

Since Google have millions of users it's very hard to get in touch with tech support, if you feel that bad there's plenty of free email providers out there .
    Say your email is joebloggs@gmail
Make a new email at joebloggs@eircom
    Etc
Remember you may need to still use that account, if you signed up for other apps, services using Gmail.
Try google search. Gmail tech support.
It's hard to complain about a free service .
