    Lads

Anyone had any dealings with www.galwaycars.ie? Stock seems good and prices good too. They also offer a two year warranty which, if genuine, would be v impressive. Ads are all OTT, but you'd forgive that if everything checks out.

I see there are some recent references in the ”today I saw a car for sale” thread. (not so easy to search the forum)

Their site says “Never overpay by choosing Galway Cars”

A 2 year warranty is only as good as the dealer honoring it. Is it a proper dealer warranty or one of those 3rd party warranties that means the dealer tells you to go fight with the warranty company for any issues you have?

I dealt with them just over a year ago. Traded an A6 against a UK import X3 and got a good enough deal. The warrant offered was a 3rd party (Mapfre?) which I declined , got an extra few euros off. I also declined their full service (another few euro off) and instead took the X3 to a specialist indy for a full service/checkover. The indy service was about the same (~1,000 euro) as the warranty/service discount but I felt better having the indy do it , getting new discs all round etc. than having them do it.

They did however replace the tyres with China's best before I bought it... I replaced them after a few months.

I'd say focus on the car you are buying from them, get a history check and ignore all the fluff and if it works for you, go for it.

Not a great website and adverts are written in childish English.

That said, they may be ok.
    Solo check looks normal.
They have a 48hr money back guarantee
    https://www.galwaycars.ie/about-us
We have a complete money back policy within 48 hours of your purchase, in case you are dissatisfied with the car bought from our store.

Do the normal checks and remember you are protected by consumer laws to an extent.

They put a red bow on the bonnet of your potential car, therfore they must be good guys!...........unless it's a devious ploy to dupe us all into a false sense of security!!
