This is a very good listen that some here may enjoy. I caught it by chance on RTÉ Radio 1 earlier today and, although I had read about him before, hearing his firsthand account was fascinating.
Shane is an absolute legend. Always a word of encouragement if you pass him while doing a session in the Phoeno. Same before races as well and that's not having a clue who you are. Unbelievable to get where he got to given his tumultuous upbringing. Also the times and the age grade records he is setting now are phenomenal. Always up there at the front of the DTC crew during training as well. The man only has one gear...
