HSE Increments

    Hi Guys,

I have a quick query regarding payments in the HSE. My wife started in the HSE 10 years ago as a basic grade.

Since then she has been moving up the bands but we have had 2 kids where she took maternity leave and took the additional 16 weeks unpaid leave for both. In the middle you had the Haddington road agreement pay freeze etc. Not sure if any of these had an impact on the ban she should be in.

Looking at the scale online now her pay matches what seems to be Band 5 or Euro 5. That doesn't seem right to me.

Have any of you guys got any experience on this?

    Thanks

    Mike

I know staffs probation is frozen if they go on maternity leave and I know increments can also be withdrawn if performance in deemed poor so I am guessing that when someone is on maternity leave that time towards their increment doesn't count.
