Is there any website where I can check the registration number of a car to see if it’s a rental or privately owned?

Tried our good friend google but it only seems to throw up the usual car history check sites and can’t see anything about ownership on there.

    Cheers!

I think any registrations/ ownership changes in the last couple of years will show up on those reports as either being owned by a company or a private individual.
Obviously if owned by a company good chance of being a rental or lease.

It’s not actually a car that’s for sale it’s one that turned up in our work car park yesterday and I’m wondering if it has been sent there by the hire company for my boss.

He’s been off sick most of the year and is due back soon but I’m not being told exactly when. He has always had a rental/company hire car so the arrival of this car raised my suspicions.

It’s a D reg which all his previous cars also were (are all hire cars D reg?) but is only a 181 plate which would be unusual as his previous cars were new.

So my spidey senses are tingling about his imminent (unwanted!) return.

Have a look inside to see if there's a sticker telling people to drive on the left or a no smoking sticker.

This is my sentiment exactly..... If you are dreading your boss coming back so much that you "need" to know if a strange car in the car park is his or not, then it may be time to look for another job! That kind of trepidation and paranoia does not make for a healthy work environment.
