Since ive been working from home ive started lying in the bed typing on the laptop, ive a tightness in my chest in recent weeks.....would it be fair to say using a laptop lying down is causing posture issues that could cause chest pain or am i just having a heartattack??

Bad posture and your diaphragm being "cramped".A few good stretches will fix it,otherwise stop being so lazy and use a desk!

Has anyone here ever had a heart attack? What's it like? Not pleasant, obviously.

I remember reading about cardiac rupture when I was a kid, about 10, (not all reading is good for you), and then being convinced I was having a heart attack every time I got a twinge. Looking back, it was probably indigestion. Didn't dare tell anyone about my "heart attacks", because I hate hospitals.

Hope you didn't have a heart attack OP. But if you do, be sure to tell us about it

Technically we’re not supposed to give medical advice here, but you definitely have TB.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering from "Laptop in bed chest".

Unfortunately I don't have a desk I can use. Or a kitchen table where I'll be left alone to do my work.

We'll just have to form a support group OP. Hang in there!

You can buy tables to use on the bed to put the laptop on. Not only is using it on your chest bad for you, it's an ergonomic nightmare, it's also bad for the laptop as it isn't cooling properly.

Everyone needs to get at least 30 minutes Exercise every day.
Laying in bed with a laptop for 8 hours is not good for your posture.
Buy a small table .put the laptop onit .
Sit on a chair while using the laptop .
You should not have to look down to use the laptop.
You can plug the laptop into a monitor using a vga cable .
Buy a vga pc monitor new. Or get a 19 inch one on adverts.ie cost 100 euro approx
Google safe distance and posture for using a pc .monitor distance.
