    Hi,

Just would like to check maybe somebody has some good one or two tubular tyres..just got old vintage tubular wheelset..never used one before but would like to try to see difference from clinchers..If somebody has some good spare or clearing out please let me know..at the moment not looking for new expensive ones..just want to try any first..if somebody has also some spare glue or anything else to fit the tyre would be great..I could collect/meet mostly anywhere in Dublin-would cycle over then..

    ThankYou and Best Wishes!

I have some new, never fitted Zipp Tangente tubular tyres. The dimpled ones. They are in the attic a few years now. Which is actually a good thing ( dark storage ) if you research it.

    They are 700x21c

I ride tubulars myself. Had been keeping these if I ever needed spares.

Would do a pair of them for €50 if you're interested.

    Hi,

Thanks for You offer..I understand You offer them for good price but still this is too expensive for my need..also sizing would be
    suppose a bit too
professional for me..I am looking for expierence at first to commit more seriously later..Got one tyre already-Vittoria Rally which seems
Ok..just one more maybe would do..

Thanks a Lot for Your response and offer!

Vittoria Rally's are a nice tub but have little or no puncture protection.
Dont start out with Contis as they are a wagon to get on and if you are glueing there will be glue everywhere.
Try and dig out a set of Veloflex Roubaix or Arenberg. Lovely tyre and very easy to mount.
Same tyre just different colour sidewall.
If you are in Dublin I can lend you a set of wheels for a week or so with tubs on so you can decide.
Need to check but the only tubs I have spare ,I think, is a Continental Sprinter and a Gatorskin in 25mm.They wont be that difficult to mount as they have already been used and are 'stretched' out already.

Hi,Thanks for Your good advice and generous offer for week trial but I would like to try how this all thing works-glueing,fixing..maybe would become converted to these..Want to try also for sake of vintage cycle racing experience-I undestand in old days only these were used..So please let me know about those other tyres You mentioned-both or just a one will do..Thanks a Lot!
