    Hi
just wondering if revenue contacts your employer about the COVID 19 payment to make sure everything checks out about what you are saying?

Does anyone have experience with this?

No they don’t. If you have no job now because of covid then you’ll get the covid payment.

Revenue would already have been getting regular returns from your employer detailing your pay, PRSI, USC and PAYE.

So, sooner or later their system will flag the fact that you have told them something that isn't consistent with what your employer has returned. But their main focus is on pay and deductions.

I have not broken any rules or told any lies regarding the PUP,
It's more that my employer might not be so happy with me being on the PUP .

I just want to know if revenue will contact my employer telling them I am on the PUP and when this might happen and what might cause it?

AFAIK revenue have not contacted my employer yet

Why would your employer care that your on the PUP? It’s no skin of his/her teeth?
Your employer will restart you on the payroll when you go back to work and then revenue will “know” that you are back at work.
When you go back to work it is your responsibility to sign off from PUP with SW.

The employer might care if they dont have an employee there to fulfil a task. Employer may have all the systems in place to provide a safe work environment and an employee may be refusing to return to work. Hence employer is pissed off at the situation

Is this something that is starting to happen?

If the employer has a job for an employee to return to and the employee refuses to return then they simply inform SW and advertise the position. SW will cease the employees PUP.
