I’m a nurse and wondering if anyone has worked in Croom hospital? I’m moving to limerick and this elective hospital sounds like a nice place, just looking for some feedback as I don’t know anyone personally who has worked there and would love to have people’s insight before I put in my CV. Or any other hospitals in Limerick that are similar to this one. Thanks

Hi Ladyluck99, I have moved your query to the Limerick forum where you should get some answers from people living in Limerick. Hope that helps :)

I don't know much about working in hospitals, but it might be relevant to you that Croom is a specialist adult and children's orthopaedic centre.

My limited experience as an outpatient is that it is lovely.

Spotlessly clean, less frenetic than UHL. And you may not have to negotiate city traffic.

Also because of its speciality, you are far more likely to have positive outcomes with patients.

St John's Hospital is a lovely hospital too, but you tend to have a combination of older patients and less serious conditions presenting.

Or look at the Bons Private Hospital (the old Barringtons).

Close family member worked there years ago and really liked it. She only left to travel.
I have been there a fair few times and it seems like a peaceful place in contrast to a typical city A&E type environment.
