Thermodynamic panels

    Question on the following:


    Can thermodynamic panels be installed on a garage roof south facing about 25 to 30 meters away from house and be hooked up to an air to water pump in the house to aid the system for providing hot water?

    I would be interested if this was as free energy source would be available from the panels and a2w unit may not have to run as often to heat water for the house. The theory would be to reduce the electricity bills down a bit. But is the distance too great for it to be of any use here? Its an after thought no plumbing done yet on house.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Very questionable science and numbers behind the thermo dynamic panels. There's a thread on this from a few years back where I did some "back of envelope" calculations and even if you use the "best case" figures advertised by the manufacturer the numbers are less than stellar. Will post the link if I can find it.

    Edit: The numbers I threw together in this thread were for a guy who was using a "solar thermodynamic" to heat his hot water and did a rough check to see how much he was saving bs oil or immersion only:
