How do Weed lickers work

Have a lot of creeping thistle under the wire which is tending to come out up to about 12 feet at either side of the electric fence which divide fields.

Would the weed licker sort this problem? Some of the whistle would only be 6 inch stall as I have been topping them.

Would the weed licker solve this? Is it roundup or grazon 90 that would be put into it? With some of the whistle being so low will the spray get to this?

The weedlicker needs to physically touch the target weed, so 6 inches is very low if you want to avoid hitting the grass too. Roundup is generally used in a weedlicker, but you're going to burn the grass too with it set that low. If you're going to use something like grazon 90, you are probably just as well to spray it on....
