    It's hard to beat a good spec Octavia especially the estate. I have a 151 for the past 12 months. Going great. 1.6 diesel hatchback. The one above looks to be good value. Mileage high though. Cheap because it's an import?

    The SEAT is probably the best option there and would be on a par with most on the list power wise.

    The Octavia strikes me as being a bit too cheap, further investigation needed. The 2.0 is a lovely engine in it.

    Yeah, the octavia is down to 9995 now... Way too cheap.

    Any opinions on the Peugeot 2008 1.6 engine?

    Why not save yourself c. 8k and consider a 10-12 year old well serviced tdi of some kind.
