Columbus genius frame and forks FS 100 euro

Having bought a new bike and moved the drivetrain across, I now find myself with the old frame and forks in stock, and happy to move them on for a modest sum. A great set up for someone who wants to build up a light, fast bike.

This is the same actual frame; I had it built up by ciclicorsa: https://ciclicorsa.tumblr.com/page/3

    Specs:

    Toray H60 3k

    900 grams (medium)

    Internal Cable Routing

    Di2 and EPS Compatible

    1.5/1.25 Tapered Headtube/Steerer

    Asymmetric Chainstays

    BB86 Monobloc BB Shell

    What you get:
One Columbus Genius monocoque frame, size 56 (suits 5'6" to 6' rider; I'm 5'8").
Two Columbus forks (a Tusk and a Gram, IIRC); one is brand new (never fitted), the other is well used.

The frame is logo'd "Pintail" and www.pintail.eu; this is the company I work for, who did a sponsorship deal when I got the bike. It's not odd or offensive, but it's not a mainstream brand. The head-tube and forks are Columbus branded.
The frame got a nasty scrape off a garage door, and also has some smaller nicks - this is not at all an immaculate frame. But it's a great ride.

Pictures are here (Google Photos): https://photos.app.goo.gl/LhS6VfiMmFGz1jUv9

A hundred euros and collect it in Deansgrange.

do you have top tube length?? trying to judge size

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,741 ✭✭✭brownian

    Here's the geo:
    Reach 382
    Stack 567
    Wheelbase 980

Top tube is either 550 or 534 (the columbus table is not v. clear on this!). The actual Columbus size is "L" (not very informative).

I used it quite a bit for week-long tours in the Alps and Pyrenees, and found it fine, day after day. Of course, that's just me...

I've added a few pictures of it to the album, as used touring around.

that's quite a small 56 - i can see why it'd suit your height. GLWS, i don't have space for another bike...

That damage on the down tube looks pretty bad almost crush like. A shame as it's a nice looking frame I like the deep blue colour.

The damage is actually cosmetic - the bike was stupidly leant against the rail that a garage door slides on. The front wheel turned sideways, as they will, and the bike slid down along the rail, spoiling the lovely paint. It's been well ridden since-there is absolutely zero crush or other serious damage.

The colour is translucent - you can see the carbon weave through it. A once-off by the painter at ciclicorsa.

sorry to hear this - they seem accessible to me (even in a new browser). If you want to DM me an email address, I'll send them on...but I'm not fighting with Boards's photo technology, which wrecks my head.

      I've just refreshed it

Gonna have to withdraw my interest.
Lost my Garmin yesterday so funds will need to go towards a replacement.

      Thanks but no.
It was on the royal canal just beyond the barberstown bridge going west.
Went back for a better look today but reckon the canal has claimed it.

      ??????

With apologies to Koutoubia and others - I found the only holiday house in Kerry with no phone, no wifi, nothing. When we drove someplace, I checked work emails, but didn't get to browse boards, etc.

Koutoubia was first in line, but has backed out due to lost Garmin 8-(

So far as I know, WTB is currently in the frame (ahem) for this sale, and I have just confirmed this in the messenger thing.

I'm back on line (in work!), so responses should be much faster - apologies to anyone who was inconvenienced!

      offer 80euro collected

    • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,741 ✭✭✭brownian

I think 'next in line' means 'offer asking'? But just for clarity - I can't accept 80 euro, but 100 euro gets you the frame and two (pairs of) forks. Collected in Deansgrange, no posting (Even if you offer to pay posting). Sorry to be inflexible, but that's the offer.
