Suddenly we don’t know where the water is going. The clothes dry eventually. We pulled out everything we could think of. No sign of water damage to the rear of where machine is either. We cleared minimal fluff etc.

We tilted the machine and also no sound of water
Anyone any idea what is the hell is wrong with this machine? Bought 3 years ago so no warranty.

    I'll hazard a guess it's going into a tank.

    'Suddenly', after three years

Can you elaborate, what have you been doing up to now? Is there a water tank that you used to empty manually but it's now always empty? Or is the water pumped out via a waste pipe like the washing machine?

It went into the removal coNtainer in the door. Now that container collects nothing, as you said, always empty now.

Any Hoover dryer of that age that is available here in Irl that I have worked on has the water tank inside the removable bottom panel just underneath the condenser

Yeah we took that out also. There was a metal grill in behind it. We wondered was there something behind the grill but it doesnt come out.
