    Hi all,
Wonder can anyone help. I had my car parked up for last few months of lockdown. Had to jumpstart today and when I went to drive it it was making a grinding sound when moving, taught it was the exhaust as it had been parked one wheel up on kerb. On closer inspection I discovered one side of the car is leaning and sitting on tyre, can a coil spring lock up? I tried pressing down on car and no movement on one side? Car was fine when parked there in March. Is there anyway to release the spring ?
    Thanks in advance

    Thought, not taught

Could be a binding shock from it sitting awkwardly for so long.
Probably best to replace the pair.
First have a mechanic inspect them.

if its sitting down on one side its most likely a spring after breaking. the grinding noise u heard when driving away was likely just the build up on the discs and would of being burnt off after afew miles. but on the spring ya its very possible that the spring broke. infact leaving the car partly on the kerb for afew weeks with all the weight on it then on ya go afew weeks later drive it off the kerb the spring just gives way. springs break all the time So any good indy should sort u straight out
