Hi, we're a family of 7, including two grandparents , due to travel to Spain in September. Flight cost €1745, and was booked last December prior to covid outbreak and the subsequent travel advice. As its a saver rate there is no refund. Government advice is not to undertake non essential travel, and we wish to postpone the holiday for 10 to 12 months, and we would gladly accept a voucher. However Aer Lingus are not offering us a voucher. What can we do?

The government may say travel to Spain is ok when they make their announcement on July 20th. It's up to Arr Lingus if they want to refund or offer a voucher if you decide not to travel.

    Have you travel insurance?

No travel insurance. Two passengers are in the high risk group and non of us want to travel in present circumstances for health reasons.

The homepage for aerlingus.com states there's no change fee for all flights up to 31st December. Might be an option to defer to a specific date next year. A voucher would be more flexible, and a refund would give you future buying power but this might be the next best option.
