There is an extension currently being built next door , and they are facing the bathroom window into my garden

I am just wondering if this breaches building regulations?

The window will be a foot away from the boundary between our houses

    Thanks Syd

No planning permission was requested, they are just extending.

I have no problems with it.

I just want to inform my neighbour if there are problems, as she is not builder savvy, and for future reference in case of house sale etc ....

I had this problem with my old houses back garden.

It's annoying but their bathroom glass was frosted so was kind of not a big issue in the end.

I think a window has to be one meter from a boundary otherwise planning is needed

    Thanks Fguinan,

I remember something when I was building years ago, similar to this

No issue from me, and the window will not let in much light ... was going to advise neighbour to get a velux as well / instead

You won’t have any problems selling your property but they may have s it sounds like it needs permission.

If it is really 300mm from the boundary it most likely will
    Get refused.

I agree. I have no issue, just want to tell then before the builder leaves, its their decision how to take this forward
