Hi All, hoping u can help me out here. My car radio (09 Ford Focus) is giving me a particular issue. I cannot tune in 4fm. Now, on the display, it picks up the channel, but all I hear is static. This is the only station that I cannot pick up.

Have any of ye experts came across this madness before :-) ?

I should mention I read the manual, turned off TP and tried a few settings to no avail. Not the biggest issue u will ever get on this forum but would love to know what the issue is.

    Thanks

    Title clarified

    Is it a recent issue?
You need to check the antenna, outside and behind the radio.

Do you know what frequency 4fm should be on in your area?

Are you tuning in, or selecting a previously stored frequency? It may be a stored frequency from another area, which is not available in yours. Make sure you tune in manually.
Does another radio works while in the car, with the car's radio turned on and tuned to 4fm with nothing but static?

Thanks guys, sorry for the late response. I think it must be a aerial / antenna issue.

Backstory - Original ford aerial got worn away after years of car washes etc. Reception was very bad on most stations with the original aerial.

Replaced the aerial and while it improved the reception \ quality, I was still unable to receive 4FM. I took a spin down to the coast on Sunday and all but Lyric FM were not working. The tuned in stations were all static \ audio would come and go. It was only till I got closer to the inland that the reaming stations worked.
