AA Travel Insurance - No Way to Contact Them?

    Hi all,

My family has annual multi trip insurance with the AA and have to say I'm not very impressed with how they've reacted to the current Covid Situation.

They've actively stopped people from trying to contact them via phone and insist on e-mail only. I've sent an email, with follow ups, four weeks ago now and still haven't gotten an answer in respect of a trip my parents were due to go on in August.

I had three questions that maybe ye might have gotten answers from the AA -

If the dfa's non essential travel advisory is still there but flights are running - will my parents be covered for a refund of the flights.

If the flights arent covered and my parents choose to go and not lose the cost - will they be covered for anything not related to Covid e.g. a broken leg or repatriation as a result of the broken leg

And if the parents did go on the 1st of August and Ireland allowed travel to a country they deemed safe on the 4th or 5th - will the insurance cover them for that date or is it null and void due to the fact that they arrived before the lifting?

    Thanks all.

The policy is in place. If your parents suffer a loss they can claim off the policy, in line with terms and conditions of the policy.
Insurers, airlines and travel agents are being hammered by these queries and can't possibly answer every possible scenario a customer dreams up.
