Does anyone know if I can by paid into the bank account?

I always thought payment has to be collected at the post office but that involves interaction with people and money is filthy.

Less people I interact with and less handling of money should be encouraged now.

I can't post links as a new user but just google 'How to get a social welfare payment into your bank' it will bring you to a gov website where you can download the form/get the link to apply online

at the moment payments are made bi weekly.
And some are being paid direct to the banks
As a regular, no you cannot get this paid into the bank, you show availability for work by showing up weekly to collect it in the post office

During Pandemic it was a possibility to ask and request to get your payment into your Bank Account instead of at the Post Office. I'm not sure if it's still possible to request this or not it might be. Guess it's worth asking. The Pandemic is by no means fully over, it's hard to gauge, but any changes/adaptations that were added / put in place during this time may be kept in place for the next while for operational / safety measures. You should ask anyway.
