Im working for a company for the last 1.5 years, and have asked to hire some construction equipment from me. They want to pay me in extra hours but i want to invoice as i will be taxed much more as it will be classed as overtime. Im registered as a sole trader from a few years back and i do tax returns every year.

The company i work for seem very egar for me NOT to invoice. Can anyone shed some light as to why?

How will you be taxed much more? PRSI? They will have employers PRSI to pay and they seem willing to swallow it. It will be very hard for them to distinguish between you as an employee and you as a plant provider. Can’t see how it benefits you unless you have losses brought forward.
