    Hi all,

I just checked my bank account this morning and it appears as if my employer has paid me my gross pay as opposed to my net pay.

    What should I do?

Let them know, and pay them back. Or deem as a loan and talk out of next month pay.

    But do tell them.

Is any portion of your current wage being covered by any of the government Covid wage continuation schemes?

    No

That rules out that being an issue then.
Likely a payroll error in that case.

Revenue issued RPNs last week to put employees on a Week 1 tax basis. Did you receive a payslip?

Had the correct rates of PAYE, PRSI and USC been taken from your salary so far this year?

    What does your payslip say?

That would be my first port of call, if that doesn't explain it, then chat to your payroll people.

No money is free, so if it is an error, be prepared to pay it back, or have it deducted from next month's payroll.

    Hi all.

    Thanks for the helpful responses.

Brought it to the attention of the boss.

    Looks like a payroll error.
