Nurse moving to Canada

Hey everyone, I hope someone can help me out a bit.

So I really want to move to Canada. I’m a nurse with currently 3 years experience. I’ve always wanted to move there. However, I was speaking to someone I know in Vancouver who said it costs a minimum of 6k to get the registration and about a year to receive it if you pass the exam.

Does anyone know how true that is? It such a disappointment to hear. Any advice or help would be very much appreciated!
