Is having no "political experience" a bad thing?

The cradle to the grave political animals are the ****ing sociopaths

They are the ones to watch

    Jimmy Morales

With a first name Jimmy I just had to look him up. Was a nobody mayor in Guatamala and won the top job on a promise of zero corruption

Now he has a string of corruption charges that makes any other world leader look like a saint.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jimmy_Morales

The main theme I read is he knows well what his ministers do and he takes a percentage and then throws them under the bus when caught

I want him to be good, instead he's more corrupt then anyone who came before :(

Some 'cradle to the grave' politicians are sociopaths. Pretty much all of the 'no previous experience' politicians are.

I think Mario Vargas Llosa would have been had he won the 1990 election in Peru.

Absolute tosh. The vast vast majority of people who go into politics do so because they have an innate sense of civic duty. It’s a tough job - long hours, phone always on the go, clinics, committees etc. They now have to deal with malcontents on the internet dishing out abuse from crack of dawn to the wee hours as well.

Far easier ways to make a few quid in this country.

What does it matter what prior experience any of them have had for anything. They are all beholden to the money markets, every single one of them. They have no power to do anything. They'll tell you all sorts of other $hit to disguise the fact that when it comes to the crunch, they have to do exactly what the paper money printers tell them to do.

    National leaders, not world leaders.
