    hi folks👋
I'm off next week and will be trekking up Donard with my two teens. We're all reasonably fit.
Going to park in the car park in Newcastle and head up.
Just wondering if you lads have any tips?
    Thanks 😊

It's easy to follow, just head up the Glen River track until you reach the wall and turn left, that's the steepest bit :D

Also, when you get to the top, if the weather is fine, make sure to head 250m roughly NE to a smaller stone cairn, you'll get better views from there.

    Is the car park free?

I'm pretty sure it is, or at least it was the last time I was there.

Did the climb yesterday. Had a beautiful day for it. Weather was just glorious. I can confirm parking is free at the base of the mountain in Newcastle. T shirt weather at the bottom but I'm glad I brought a jacket in the rucksack for the summit.
    Next stop Carrauntoohill.
