VW Polo 2019 1.0 TSI long crank

    Hello,

    I am experiencing long cranking on my VW Polo 2019 1.0 TSI.The car has only 6800km done.Has anyone else experienced this ? It only happens on a cold engine.

    I would say this is definitely unusual. I have a 2018 Polo TSI and it starts up first turn of the key no problem. Has this been a problem that's been going on a while or is it just recent?

    This is just a recent problem.The engines crank times are differnt each time it starts. Im thinking would this have anything got to do with a faulty crank timing sensor ?

    No idea but could there be some leak down of pressure in the fuel system or priming issue?
    Can you hear the pump run when you open the drivers door? Maybe try keying the ignition "on" several times before starting from cold, see if that rules out my random thought of the day above.

    Is it an "Irish" car or import from UK... AFAIK the NI dealers were honouring UK recalls warranty etc.
    Warraty jobbie anyway.
