Brazilians in Ireland

I was talking to housemates tonight (one spanish/one mexican) and they started talking about Brazilians and their bad experiences with them since they arrived here in Ireland and how they give a bad impression to Irish people of foreigners.
The discussion mostly focused on their antisocial behaviour including drug dealing, loudness, house parties every night of the week and lack of any kind of attempt at integration.

I have personally met quite a lot of Brazilians (as i live in city centre) and while a few have been decent enough, I must admit the majority I have found to be very cliquish, only superficially friendly, image focused, dishonest and lacking in much depth (Even the ones with degrees).

Some positives: The girls are mostly very attractive and not exactly hard to get into bed...:p

Obviously this is all generalisation and maybe I was just unlucky with the ones I have met. How have you found them?

This is a new format of trolling that’s popped up lately.

Step 1: Take a controversial position but attribute it to someone else (like telling your ma you were just holding that fag for a friend.)

Step 2: Take a somewhat more reasonable but basically still awful position and attempt to present it as “balance”.

Step 3: Add in the obligatory subtle reference to what a player you are with a side of casual racism.

    Poor effort: 3/10

And in a surprise to absolutely no one, here’s John Doe on another recent thread.
I generally dont like to castigate one group over another but Brazilians are so bad at social distancing its ridiculous.

Any time I have seen flouting of social distancing, there always seems to be a portuguese accent attached. 20 person House parties/5-a side football matches

Its displays a genuine lack of respect for Irish people and the elderly in this country and this is from a group which is probably benefitting most for the covid payment.

I suggest this conversation is best kept between you and your housemates, doesn't belong here anyway..
