    Where is Mark Lamarr nowadays?

The possessor of a vast array of eclectic, obscure records, particularly from the golden age of rock 'n' roll, the fifties & sixties, I was a big fan of his radio DJ work and shows on Radio 2, God's Jukebox and er, the other one whose name escapes me now; no mindless babbling over the tracks, always showing respect to music and listener, I illegally taped many a forgotten classic tune from his timeslot on the airwaves.

So Mark Lamarr, yay or nay? Who are your favourite and least favourite DJs?

On the flip side, Dan Carter on the Radio One Rock Show was (is?) an absolute disaster, constantly talking over the music before it's even reached the midway point of the song and always....like.....this.....never in full sentence....form always....fragmentary...so....annoying. The music he played was **** anyway, stopped listening to the show soon after he took over the reins from Mary Anne Hobbs.

OT Plug: Music fans, check out this thing I'm running.

He’s on Twitter .. mainly just posts links to songs on YouTube. He’s still got fantastic taste!

I used to download god's jukebox & listen to the 3 hours of it during work, I miss it a lot. Even if I didn't like a tune, his enthusiasm & knowledge & anecdotes meant I never fast forwarded
I also thought it funny, that for someone who loved music so much, he had stopped going to live gigs - he'd just had enough of them

Many moons back I used to love listening to Bob Harris on BBC radio.
