    Hi All

We were looking at buying a Discovery

Am planning to trade my 2013 Avensis and have 5K cash

It seems the only ones I can get all have 150K mileage

would anyone have concerns about this amount of mileage?

    Thanks

Not the most reliable of machines even with low mileage and can be quite expensive to repair. If your on a tight budget then imo your looking at the wrong make of vehicle.

Service history would be more important than high mileage

Personally, there are 4x4's I'd buy with confidence that had 150k+ miles on them, but a Discovery wouldn't be one of them. They are not the most reliable at the best of times, and it is likely you are facing into a few large bills at that mileage.

awful dear to fix if anything goes wrong with them, you would be better off with a mistubishi or Isuzu,

I always buy high mileage. But only from someone I trust, and only a car with a good service history.

The Discovery 4 is the best luxury SUV on the market. The air suspension on the previous model could cause problems but these tended to occur only on vehicles driven mostly off road. The 3.0 Litre V6 engine is bombproof so I would not be concerned buying a high mileage example.
