The company I work for was bought by another larger company. New contracts are coming into place shortly. Anybody any experience of not signing the new contract in this scenario? What are the outcomes? Termination of the existing contract and role with the original company? Will I be able to claim job seekers benefit immediately or will it be subject to the 9 weeks? Some terms and conditions will be changing in the new contract

usually you are under no obligation to terminate your old role, TUPE applies.
    Get legal advice.

Happened in a company I worked with before. We were told at the time that if we didn't sign the new contracts then we would be out of a job.
Terms and conditions on the new contract were actually better than the company we had worked for, and years or service carried over too, so nobody objected at the time.
