bats in house

    live in the middle of the country in carrigkerry
    lots of wildlife but this year iv had a few bats coming in the house ...
    when i wake up in middle of night thairs one or two flapping around..........
    have to open the window and shoo them out................

    anybody know of any bat people we can talk too.....

    Firstly bats are a protected species. You can get help from the Bat Conservation Group or NPWS

    Secondly, how are they getting into the house? Can you not seal up that location?

    Thanks for getting back too me... Yep i got there a protected species....
    So i wasn't going to so anything crazy ,.... I just wanted to get it out thair too see if any usfull help came back...
    I know thair roosting at back of roof which aint beena problem the passed 2 years,
    but this year they seem too be coming in house ............

    Iv not worked out where as to yet thair coming in ...Iv just left them alone .... but i gess i need to find out more about them .............
    if they move house after breeding season iv been thinking to put up a few bat boxes to encourage them away from house ........ that was just an idea with no knowledge as to whether that will work............. im like at stage one like yep need to get it sorted,,,,
    thanks for the info i shall contact bat people you gave me info on and see what they say ,,,,
