    Just to say, I fully understand the 30 and 40 year rule.

    I just want to know if you can test a classic40+ years today,

    not test it then for say 3 years, and then test again in 5 years. Thats all.

    If you can, then it must be the cheapest roadworthy testing opportunity, available for those

    classic owners who know little or nothing about mechanics. As i do all my major mechanics it

    does not suit me, but I imagine it has to be a good service for inexperienced classic ownership:)

    Yes. Voluntary testing is just that - voluntary.
