Im considering replacing the existing rear captains seat with a similar seat with an integrated 3 point belt.
the current seat has a lap belt only.
Its the original Hymer seat bolted to the floor on a steel plate.
Assume its not a swap job and would have to be commissioned by an engineer.
Has anyone any experience of this?

I would think that as the existing seat already has a lap belt, the floor mounting has been designed to handle the loads associated with restraining a passenger in the event of a crash. If the new seat has an integrated three-point belt, I cant see how it would change the floor loading.

It would be different if you were trying to install the third mounting point (for the diagonal belt) on the side wall which nay not be rated for it.
