Question On Sunday Rate

    A family member as recently been put on a new schedule which requires her to work 9 out of every 10 Sundays. She previously would have worked 1/5.
    She's on a salary. Her contract of employment contains a provision stating that the rate of pay has been calculated to take into account the requirement to work on Sunday. Given the drastic increase in Sunday work, should she be entitled to a pay increase/paid time off? Or does she have to just suck it up due to the contract?

    It's really hard to know what's right without knowing the details of this calculation.

    It would have contained a variable for how many Sundays are worked.

    Was it calculated with 1/5 Sundays or 9/10 Sundays in mind?

    I suspect it's the former.

    Is her wage good?

    It has changed variously between 1/4 - 1-8 Sundays over the past year. Only now is 9/10 a requirement. For these reasons I would be led to believe it was never actually calculated and thats just jargon to cover the company's a**.
    Other team members are getting same salary but not working half as many weekends.
