    Good morning.

    Just looking for some guidance.

I currently work in childcare and will be returning in 3 weeks. However I just found out I'm 4 weeks pregnant (will be 7 weeks when work opens) and anxious about going back? I had a miscarriage 8 weeks ago so very nervous returning to full ratios in creche setting etc.

Just wondering if anyone in similar situation returning to work pregnant.

    Thank you!

Is there a proven link between covid and miscarriage?

Seems to me that Covid-19 is the least of your worries.

Talk to your GP about your anxiety, and the closeness of the miscarriage to this pregnancy. Your employer needs to know if this increases the risks for you.

Your employer is likely to be experienced in doing risk-assessments for the job in general. How have these worked for other staff, is there any history of people being put on lighter duties?

Thanks a mill for your reply.

I haven't said anything yet I've a Dr appt next week, but I'm in the job since November. Haven't seen any other girls go through mat leave while I there.

I will tell them once I see Dr as I dont want to not tell them, especially going back after this.
