BMW F30 318d low engine oil issue

Hi all, just looking for some thoughts on a potential issue I have here. I bought a 131 318d in January, ~95,000km on her, and in mid-March I got a low engine oil warning - top up with 1L oil, so I did and no issues since. Just today then, I was driving on the motorway, cruise ~125 kph, when all of a sudden the car loses acceleration. Foot to the mat and would only go up to 90 Kph, and was really struggling to get uphill. I pulled over and stopped for a few mins, no warning lights/messages, nothing on the OBDII I plugged in, started again and it was accelerating fine so continued on my journey. About 10 mins later low engine oil warning comes on, so I pull into the next garage and fill her with 1L oil. Finished my journey and had no acceleration issues again.

    1) So, 2 engine oil top ups in 4-5 months (has 113,000 km on her now so ~18,000km of driving). This isn't normal is it? After the first time the low engine oil came I checked my parking spot and there was no signs of a leak, and still today I see nothing on my street, I park the same place all the time.

    2) The loss in acceleration, would low engine oil have contributed to this? Is that just a coincidence that it happened at the same time, could it be filter issue here? Or am I looking at something more serious with these 2 issues combined?

Wife have 131 320d use no oil between oil changes every 10000 miles .but 2 litres in 18000 km is not too bad I guess but I definitely wouldn't wait till warning comes on before I top it up.
