Let me down yesterday first time and used key to touch 2 terminals on starter and it started . But this morning no geeks again with the key I measured 12.3v being sent to the little wire . Checked with multi meter on the starter when I turn the key . So there’s power . So is it the starter that’s wrong .

Did you try the old tap on the body with a hammer handle trick? Is the solenoid clicking? Try bridging the two large terminals on the solenoid to see if the motor itself spins up, just do it briefly as it will spool up very quickly.

Yes I did tap it with a bar no good . Would you think it’s the starter then

Anything happen when you bridge the two main terminals on the solenoid? Check the earth cable too.

Just to be aware there’s a starter relay under the bonnet as well. (Well there is in the later model tms). This gave trouble on mine once

When I bridge the starter she will start no problem . Would that suggest it could be a ground problem .

Did you check the relay westlander suggested? Looks like it isn't getting juice from the ignition switch.
