    Just wondering if anyone here has tried lyrica or benzodiazepines for anxiety are in trying them for anxiety? What has been your experience?

    I was on Lyrica for 18 months for Fibromyalgia. I have never heard it used for anxiety. I wouldn't recommend it. My experience was cognitive disfunction - poor memory/concentration and significant weight gain. I've spoken to many who have been on it and very few have a positive experience.

    Wife was on Lyrica for around 20 months for back pain, she was still in pain but living on a whole different planet - floating on air most of the time & feeling 'out of it' (her description), her memory was dreadful & she'd a dreadful time coming off it too.
    Even after being off it for over 3 yrs her memory isn't the best... have heard others say the same & also spoke to her GP who said thats common.
