Satellite wiring from old dish

    Hi all.
Looking for some help please. My friend has just moved into a new house and there are currently two wires coming out from the wall which are related to the satellite dish behind where her television is. Using one of the wires we've been able to tune in some satellite stations on the television. Is this safe to do? Is it a DIY job to put a coaxial connector on the end of the wire? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
P.S. I tried to upload some images to go with this post but as a new user I am not able unfortunately.

Have a look at the video guide here - yes it is a DIY job, just be careful there are no fine wires left where they should not be as they could kill the signal

That link was to a Satellite connector ....... if the other cable is from an Aerial then it most likely requires a different type of connector.

The stations have come in crystal clear at the moment by connecting in the exposed of one of the wires into the back of the tv. We can try and use the connector you advised on the end of this wire as it seems it might work. Thank you. I've just ordered an TV Aerial & Satellite Combiner too just in case from the site you linked.
