Never spread it but interested to hear about it.
    What nutrients are in it?

The first question to ask is what is been fed into the digester.

The second is what farming enterprises do you have.

Richie you have to sign up with department to receive it we lucky here there’s a massive digester plant 7 miles away and they will draw it to your tank ....not sure what goes into digester but it’s rocket fuel ...I’m beef farming so need to cut back in fertilizer usage

A man up our country had it spread on a field or 2 back in February and turned the sheep out on it a month after. He has had alot of trouble with lambs dying and some ewe's as well.

Never heard of any problems. The only one I heard of was years back when pharma waste oestrogen started affecting pigs.
One would need to know the sources of the feedstock.
Sad at so few plants. For example all pig slurry should be feedstock.

There shouldn't be any issues with Digestate as, in the Republic of Ireland, it is supposed pasturized before being spread.

Is there a list or map of digesters around the country that export to farmers?

Is it treated like slurry as organic nitrogen. Would it be included in your organic N allowance

A friend of mine was getting it from a neighbouring AD plant. The stuff is rocket fuel but it has to go out very light, i think he said something like 500 gallons an acres.

After a bit of experience of it here, and 1000 gal per acre is the maximum we would recommend on any one application.
There are 2 types of digestate tho. Stuff from agricultural Digesters (only use agri feedstock). And waste Digesters *any auld **** is used as feedstock) . Agri is more consistent and safer. The waste Digesters can have heavy metals and and other unseen elements in it.

Would the majority of heavy metals come out of thermophilic plants ?

No. It doesn't matter if they are mesophilic or thermo. It's the inputs into the system is important.
It's like cattle slurry. If the cattle are eating silage from ground low in P and K. The slurry they produce will be low in P and K. Same principle with Digesters

Is there any issue on the slurry from pigs and heavy metals? Heard something about that before.

I’m putting it into tank of cattle slurry and going to mix whole thing up ...it’s a shed where no meal was fed to cattle only wintered on silage and straw and minerals think it would give tank bit of power for spreading

If you can get anywhere near 50% cattle and 50% pig slurry, it makes great NPK for grassland
