Hi guys - didn't see a thread for this already on other forums. Sorry if it is not a fit for this forum - please move if so.

Like many I am probably going to be stuck in a WFH situation for a longer time than anticipated and looking for a reasonable (200 euro ish) office chair option. Was looking at something like this https://www.huntoffice.ie/oa-series-mesh-back-office-chair-with-adjustable-black-mesh-back-adjustable-arms-and-black-evert-fabric-seat-oa2sm2l-armstep-pp-e001-bms.html

Also maybe a cheap laptop stand, as I don't have a separate monitor and need it elevated. I know stock levels are not great for this kind of stuff but happy to wait a few weeks longer at this point as it will probably be needed for all of 2020 at least!

I do have a separate keyboard and mouse - any other tips of good stuff / additions that make a difference?

    Thanks in advance

I've been using the Mac keyboard since I started WFH. I'll never go back now, it's so much easier on your hands and I reckon I type faster on it.

One thing I intend to spend good money on is a proper avaya Bluetooth phone etc

I'm using a shoebox as a laptop stand.

Kinda like the home version of using a ream of paper to raise the monitor in the office.

Thanks for this - yes using one of those fancy storage boxes atm - it's about 8 inches high which I think just about works with my laptop - my eyes are about level with the top bezel of the laptop, maybe it's a little high.

Finding the separate keyboard and mouse absolutely essential tbh! Don't know how you would manage without it

I bought a decent office chair from ebay via a seller who specialises in reburbished office equipment. I paid 220gbp for an as new Herman Miller office chair (new they are at least double that). I dont want any back issues from a poor seat. I already had a reasonable desk from IKEA (it was around 50quid from memory).

The laptop is sitting on a document stand that pivots to approx 45 deg so, its at an ideal height relative to my seating position. I have a usb keyboard and mouse connected to the laptop.

I have been thinking of getting a large monitor as I often have to look at CAD drawings. How big is big enought is the question?
