Qashqai 1.5 DCi - not starting

    Hi Guys,

    Have a strange one at the moment. We have a 1.5 DCi Qashqai which is not starting. No issues up to today. The car has an intelligent key which, going by the issue I'm having, isn't very smart at all.

    The version of key isn't the stop/start button one, rather the older version which still requires a button to be turned on the ignition column to start the car if that makes sense.

    The car will open with the smart key no problem (by pressing the button on the door to unlock). Once the brake pedal is pressed, it allows the switch on the ignition barrel to be turned. When I turn the car to 'ignition on', I only get one light on the display. This is the front airbag light which is yellow and has a '2' symbol on the screen. Turning over the car, there is no crank and no typical 'click' that you would hear if the battery was dead.

    I've replaced the battery in the key fob and still no joy. Lights, stereo, everything else works but only that one light comes on when I put the key to 'ignition on'. I'm usually pretty ok with troubleshooting these types of basic issues but this one has me stumped for now. Any ideas?
