    Don't travel to China.

And don't buy anything ever again.

Citizens shouldnt have to suffer the effects of a boycott because of the fault of their government

First step would be to turn over your keyboard/laptop/smartphone find the label: "manufactured in China" or "manufactured in PRC" and throw it into the bin

Maybe instead of trying to ruin someone's else economy (any Irish actions towards China would be feeling like a slight pinch), try to improve our own economy?

well that would be too late, they will already have the money spent on that so why would you throw it in the bin?

There's a South Korean firm called Huawei, I'd recommend buying their goods if you want to avoid Chinese brands.

Why should I boycott China? Because of Tibet? There is another country that invaded Philippines more than a 100 years ago killing 10% of its population and since then they did a hell around the world forcing their democratic dictatorship on every country they could. Its even easier to boycott them. And healthier.
